My cinematography style is experimental based on the story that is being told and the needs of the client or Director.  I find inspiration from classic cinemas like Vertigo, Eyes Wide Shut, and In the Mood for Love.  I find power in moments and the emotions that they portray to create the overall style of a film – story is everything.  My photos are inspired by light, color, techniques from black & white processing, vintage photos, creative perspective, and most importantly, the personalities of the people I photograph!

I jump from mind to mind through the lens of my own.  I strive to shift perspectives and provide freedom from concern through compelling images and camera movements.  I aim to create thought-provoking images.  A story is as strong as the visual progression of images, those images are as strong as the lighting and camera movement.  As a cinematographer, my mission is to not only tell a story, but to enhance the story to captivate an audience and maintain engagement.

I see the world in frequencies.  All light, color, sound, and material is made up of frequency.  Thoughts and emotions are manifestations of frequency.  By inserting myself into the middle of a story, I am able to walk in the world I imagine.  I step outside of myself and into the scene.  Through this process, I am able to create a style and perspective for the camera to capture the emotion of the characters and the space.
